Guacamole Dip Recipe

This tasty and zesty Mexican dip is heart healthy and simple to make...

YOU WILL NEED:

2 Fresh Avocados - Peeled & Diced
1 Bunch Fresh Cilantro - Chopped Finely
1 Fresh Roma Tomato - Chopped Finely
1 Fresh Lime or Lemon - Cut in halves
1/2 Red Onion - Chopped Finely
Green Chillies - To Taste - Chopped Finely
Salt - To Taste

METHOD:

1. Put the diced avocados in a large bowl, and mash lightly with a fork.
2. Add all the other ingredients (except lime) together and mix well.
3. Squeeze all the juice from the fresh lime or lemon into the guacamole dip and mix again. The lime juice prevents the avocados from oxidizing too fast. Serve immediately with nacho chips or hot corn tortillas.

* TIP: Do not make guacamole dip in a blender, because when you grind the ingredients, it becomes too creamy, almost like a paste. Authentic guacamole dip should have texture and "bite."

My girls loved this recipe. I had to make it with less chillies because of the kids but was still very good.
