Kachumbar Fruit Salad

This easy chopped salad is a great accompaniment for any fish or biryani entree.

YOU WILL NEED:

1 Fresh Apple - Diced with skin
1/2 Cucumber - Peeled and diced
1/2 Red Onion - Peeled and diced
1/2 Firm Tomato - Diced
Few sprigs fresh cilantro - Chopped
1/2 Fresh lime
Sea Salt - Pinch
Black Pepper - To Taste
1/2 Green Chilli - Finely Chopped (Optional)

RECIPE:

1. Mix all chopped ingredients together in a bowl.

2. Squeeze the juice from the fresh lime into the bowl.

3. Add sea salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste.

4. Mix well, taste before serving.

* TIP: This salad is perfect when served with Tandoori Salmon or Chicken Biryani. Salad should be sweet and savory so do not add too much salt, or you will not be able to taste the sweetness of the apples.

Tasted excellent. Good recipe. The first time I did not put enough lime juice. The second time - perfection! Took me two tries to get it right.
