This is a world famous Indian cuisine appetizer that's so easy to make... and it's low in fat...
YOU WILL NEED:
4 White Fish Fillets - (Catfish or Tilapia) Cut into large bite size pieces
Cilantro - 1/2 Bunch Finely Chopped
Tandoori Paste or Powder - To Taste
Cumin Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Ginger - Finely Chopped 1 tsp
Garlic - Finely Chopped 1/2 tsp
Low Fat Yogurt - 4 Tablespoons
Red Chilli Powder - To Taste - Optional
Lemon Juice
Green Chutney or Salsa - Optional
Canola Oil - 1-2 Tbsp
Black Pepper - To Taste
Salt - To Taste (use very little since tandoori paste may already contain salt)
METHOD:
1. Wash and cut fish into 2" squares.
2. Marinate fish in lemon juice, ginger, garlic, black pepper, yogurt, cumin powder, tandoori powder or tandoori paste and a little salt.
3. Add a little canola oil to pan.
4. Grill or saute lightly in pan making sure not to break the fish (about 5-6 minutes on each side). You may even cover the saute pan so the fish cooks faster and is softer. Make sure you do not overcook the fish or it will dry out. The fish should taste moist and succulent and should easily flake apart when prodded with a fork.
5. Sprinkle some chopped cilantro on top and serve the tandoori fish hot with chutneys or salsa.
TIPS:
* You may substitute fish with firm tofu if you have any guests that are vegetarian.

Made tandoori fish using this recipe for my kids but without any chillies and they loved it! I used mild tandoori seasoning instead of the regular spicy one. Yum!!
